Ladies & Gentlemen get ready for the ‘World Performing Arts Festival 2006’ which is starting from November 10 here in Lahore. The preparations for the biggest performing arts festival in Asia of Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop are in the final stages at Alhamra Cultural Complex, Gaddafi Stadium. I am really looking forward for this year’s festival which is expected to attract record number of artists, performers and guests from all around the world.
The organisers of the Festival have added up many attractions this year which include the brand new sitting arrangements. New performances from international artistes and super stars from the neighbouring countries like India, Far East, Central Asian States, UK and USA. By all means, Faizan Peerzada claims, this is going to be the biggest and most memorable festival.
Our best wishes for World Performing Arts Festival 2006 team :).

Lahore Railway Station serves more than 100,000 passengers on a daily basis and is the busiest railway station in the country. On occassions like Eid, people head to their home towns for spending Eid holidays that increases this traffic by several-fold.

This time, Pakistan Railways decided to run three special Eid trains with added coaches headed for Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Narowal in addition to a 100 or so daily departures which still were insufficient to cater to the demand.
Passengers were stranded at the station with congestion on all out-bound trains and with no space to even stand through the journey on trains. People had to head for bus transportation as an alternative, which, many say, is not a good choice because of over-charged fares and bad behavior of conductors.
Wish you all a very Happy Eid :). Have a wonderful day.
They say that Eid is truly meant for children. I hope this year, each one of us will try to bring a smile on faces of some of the little kids around us who are not as fortunate as kids in your family or mine. Share your happiness.
