Limo in the Big City

It wasn’t only I who saw that glittering white Chrysler limousine turning around near Fortress Stadium McDonald’s; rather, everyone watched this new arrival in excitement as it toured the whole city.

Just wondering what would be the price of a day’s ride… Plus, what would be next; Rent a Rolls Royce?

    Should be expensive.

    Renting a rolls royce, hmmmm…you covered their coming to Pakistan. And I guess you’ll cover its rental stuff startup too :).

    That car is not a Chrysler. It is a Lincoln Towncar stretched.

    @Caveman:

    Oops! thanks for the correction dude :)

    The guy who owns this car is one helluva genius (apart from being wealthy!). It’s an ingenious scheme to squeeze out money from our nouveau riche, who are willing to go to any extent to show off their (ill-gotten?) money!

    The Shameless display of wealth continues in our country where over 40 millions people live well below the poverty line…..not being sure of their next meal.

    I wpild like to see him drive from Anarkali bazar to Mochi darwaza and make those sharp right turns.
    I think this man is stupid to bring the stretched version to Pakistan. Just an ordinary Lincoln towncar has a wheel base of 117.7 inches and it is a gas guzzler @ 17 city/25 hwy mpg. Good luck!!!

    @Caveman: for the gas guzzler point; you never know, this vehicle may already have been converted to CNG!!

    Come to think of it, why exactly did it take such a long time for a limo to reach Pakistan! These have been plying on roads since ages in other countries (esp. US of A). Infact, I’ve even seen an abandoned Merc limo in mid-east!!!
    It’s amazing no one ever thought of a stretched version of Suzuki Mehran or Bolan here all these years!!!

    I was lucky enough to glance upon this beauty while it was parked at PSO pump in cavalry grnd.

    @Bulla

    There is no need to get jealous if someone wants to show-off their wealth (however ill-gotten it might be). Would you not want to hire it on your wedding day? I certainly would love to.

    If there is something that Pakistan is lacking, it is the availibility of good cars at international market price. I hate it when an average car like camry and accord costs more than an entry-level sedans of merc. and bmw

    @Majid

    No jealousy here son. I was merely commending the owner of this car for his/her ingenious plan!

    As far as hiring it for my own wedding is concerned, why would I ever want that? Everyone would know that I don’t own it and that is something I would absolutely positively abstain from! I’d rather have my very own Civic or Corolla than a rented car which I don’t have the means to own!

    Agreed – Pak needs better cars at their actual values!

    I wonder what would be the rent and if its hourly tu mazzay hi mazzay since you sometimes get stuck for 15-20 minutes, normally, at signals …!
