To get Thumb Printed!

Fortress%20Thumb%201.jpg Fortress%20Thumb%202.jpg

Entry into Fortress Stadium requires a biometric thumb impression record of everyone willing to enter. It has been debated and talked about before. Many people oppose it while others fully support it.

As for my opinion; ‘Excuse me, I DON’T LIKE BEING TREATED LIKE A SUSPECT!!’

میوزیکل شو پر جمعیت کا ہنگامہ

I would feel the same way as you do if I were fingerprinted as well, but then with all the suicide bombings and killings happening in Pakistan, you never know what can happen at a historic place like this Fort which can be a prime target for the so called “fanatics”.

i am sure those who have been there in the last few days have gone thru the agony of long waits before they can even enter the place and before exit too. . . . despite the fact that a few very good upholstery/interiors shops in town are located there, after my last visit, i decided not to go there again. … and i am sure its not helping the businesses there . .. .

I guess that is the price you have to pay for living in close proximity with islamic terrorists.

The laid-back friendly shopping experience of our youth that ws fortress is no more. But we still have a shopping destination in cantt. and security will keep it successful

i think its an excellent security system and needs to be adopted in other places, especially liberty market

This is just an attempt by the Faujis to make us civilians feel like aliens in our own land. Why are there thumb scanners only at Fortress Stadium? Why not Liberty or Anarkali?? Is a Fauji’s life more precious than mine? This is nothing more a proof of the double standards that these men in Khaki want to perpetuate. It is about time we all stood for our rights and stopped going to Fortress Stadium. I’d rather not shop at all than go somewhere where i am treated as a lesser person.

    Boycott the Fauj, Boycott Fortress!

Can’t we dupe the system somehow? Would putting wax on our thumbs help? What about those drivers that either lost their thumb(s) in some accident or were born without ’em? Are they disallowed from getting in?

@Bulla: Maybe they have an alternative eye-retina scan for such cases… ;)
