Sunscreens, covering and lots of fluids

May is almost here and its getting hotter day by day. Though Lahoris are all ready to welcome the wave, loaded with fans and ACs, but if one spends most of the day out on the roads, ACs and fans become useless. So the only way is PROTECTION. When out there in Lahore, protect yourself with sunscreens, use SPF 15 or 30 formulas or see a dermatologist. Cover with gloves while driving to protect your hands, to avoid hair damage/heat strokes wear scarfs/caps and always take notice of excessive sweating and drink plenty of fluids to avoid palpitations, hypotension and pass outs.

We all know that during summer, we loss so many valuable lives, just because they don’t care for these primary measures, specially people with blood pressure and diabetes. We all deserve to lead a healthy and active life.

There is a very very slim chance that the readers of this blog are affected by summer heat in anyway because we belong to rich or upper middle class families writing such posts sitting in AC rooms. Its the mazdoor, kisaan, mechanic, electrician who are more than 80% of population and who face the heat everyday.

“use sunscreens, SPF 15 or 30, see dermatologist”
Wake up burger sahab and start writing about real issues of lahore.

NJ: is “heat” not a real issue of Lahore? Not even in May-July?… I must have been living in some other city then!!!

NUNP: Kon chuchaa kehta hai ke heat is not lahore’s issue. Heat is the issue of Lahore but none of the protection methods you have given in your post can be used by a gareeb insaan. Can you suggest anything that an ordinary person use and protect him/herself from heat? You live in same lahore but you live in AC room and you travel in AC car.

Read my comment again and you will figure out what I meant or seek some help. Burger kahin ke!

    NJ: Read the post again.

First of all, its not written by me.

Second: You claim that “none of the protection methods given in the post can be used by a gareeb insaan”… well, the post carries the advice “drink plenty of fluids”… Fluid = Water.

Gareeb Insaan of Lahore can afford water. Have you been living in the Sahara?

Also why are you insisting that if something doesnt apply to the gareeb mazdoor of Lahore, it’s not worth talking about. Are you a communist? Or do you think Lahore consists entirely of poor peasants, mazdoors and gareeb insaan, who cant afford water, let alone anything else to fight heat….

BTW: a few more corrections. I live in Karachi, not Lahore. And i dont have AC at home… Neither can i be called a burger in any way. Everythng u r suggesting in your comments seems way out from reality.

“First of all, its not written by me.” Then author must be your phuphi ke beti/beta whom you are trying to defend so desperately? Aise hi to koi hamdardi me mara nai jaata! And yes, I have been assigned a mission by Maharaaj Carl Marx to speak for those who can’t speak for themselves.

Acha khair, maaf kar do, ghusa thook do aur piyari si billi ban ke dikhao. Peace :P

@NUNP & NJ: We would prefer if no personal attacks are made on this forum. Kindly, please respect other people’s dignity. Thanks!

@All: Heat IS an issue definitely related to Lahore. For God’s sake we have been having temperatures in excess of 40 degrees man!

And, btw even a middle-class lahori can cover his head with a CAP or an UMBERELLA.
