9th June: Hotest Day in Lahore

At last the month of June has made us realize thats its hanging around us… Temperature on 9th June was recorded as the hottest 49 C – the record breaking in past 70 years. I was on the road around 2 PM yesterday – i can’t believe how it was – the Air coming out of my mouth was more cool than the blaze outside. I would advise all commuters to take precautionary measures specially protecting the back of your Neck & Head – which are the sensitive most parts directly affected by Heat. Drink as much water as you can and make your Travel plans in evening or in early morning before 9 AM.

And finally – don’t run for bathing into The Canal, its not safe for health due to chemicals inside. A drain project is underway which is supposed to carry the chemicals/drain water out of Canal and to make it safe for general use like so called free swimming pool.

    guys guys guys…. and girls too.. hear this. 3-4 days ago i was waiting for Go Bus at Oakville, ontario, go bus station. Just had an eye on a newspaper. Its a metro news that gets published and spread over the subway and transit buses all over GTA (Greater Toronto Area). I started reading this paper and on rolling a few pages I had my eyes set on something which amazed me totally. And I started smiling big big time. It was the same picture that is published here on this blog item! Yes the Canal picture in which people are having bath/swim. I quickly folded the paper and put it in my bag… I’ll scan it and send over to the writers guild soon insha’Allah. :) Just thought to share.

    @Pretty Simple

    I tasted my first mango of the season yesterday – besides this heat wave is going to make Mango/Melons and other agriculture products more good.

    yesterday’s price for 10kg pack (known as peetti) was 280rs. “Dusehri” – and taste was great too… time to have some mango parties ;)
