City Traffic Police – Already making a difference

Whenever i visited lahore, the only thing which got to me was the insane driving people do in this city. Everyone wanting to go everywhere.. it just kind of got tiring. Then this time around, after the introduction of the new and improved City Traffic Police, things seemed easier and a lot more under control. Lines being observed, cutting in front was really down and not that many people tried ramming my rickshaw over this time as i made my way to the meeting. All in all, i think its a great idea and really hoping it works out well here.

Oh, and the traffic wardens have such a nice authoritative touch to them as well with their military style uniforms.

Haan yei qaum danday kay illawa sudharti bhi to nahi hai. Achay bhalay loog sudhar rahay haiN meri aankhooN ke saamnay kyooNkay unheeiN high challaan se dar lagnay laga hai. If you drive by the rules there is nothing to fear about. I am glad that the city is improving its image of the traffic police.

It’s all about rewarding someone for one’s services.

Do you know, that each of these newly recruited wardens is being paid Rs.16,000 in salaray as compared to a constable’s mere Rs.6,000?
