I happened to be at Liberty Market this evening and upon entering the market, I heard loud music, when I approached the source, there I found these “Suprite” 3G guys distributing FREE bottles. Now, if you are in the market in this hot/humid weather, you would be a fool to miss this chance to quench your thirst. I took Three Bottles from the guy :D and ………….no, no…I cannot drink three bottles at a time I asked my cousins to take care of them.

I think one gets a very different feeling when being offered something for free. I still remember the complimentary fresh milk and newspapers on moving to a new place and I hope no one has forgotten Wateen’s coolest Eid Gift as complimentary in the area of Defense as well as many other examples.

And sometimes we really take advantage of this idea for marketing. Do you guys have any memories relating to some complimentary items?

****sorry for bad pic quality******

I remember before nestle’s pure life came to market, people thought of Bottled water as a luxury. It wasn’t common (and trusted) this much before. They introduced their brands by distributing free bottles on mall road where people usually gets stucked for longer times. I once remember taking some bottles for free from them :).

Then I remember there was a survey going on in our college and they were distributing (fee sabeelillah) some Laal sharbat :).. Then I remember in FAST’s Softec exhibition, WOL (World Online) was distrubuting a nice RED Coloured wall clock, quite trendy and eye-catching) which I brought home and its still on a wall. Free things always feel nice. :) Specially if they remain with you for a long time.

Again, at one moment, I was in Karachi to visit my Taya Abbu, back in the summer of 1999. There at a Patrol Pump, some guys and girls came to me and said, “We are from FM100 and want you to guess a song”. They were on-air country wide at that time. They asked me to listen a Junoon’s song “Mera Mahi Aa Gaya”, that I guessed the song promptly. On which while going away they gave me some printed pens/ballpoints of, lol. Anyways :) Yea, its a nice feeling to get some stuff for free for sure!

But, I regret when once Pizza Hutt (when it was nearly introduced) had came to St. Anthony’s High School, I was kiddo at that time and they distrubted Pizza Slices for free. I was too shy to get them for myself at that time.. :$..

Ah gee, memories of it, still pain me.. Huq Ha.. Missed it.. how could I :(

The pic was cool – never mind about the quality but the backdrop only showed the civic negligence. Sorry for bringing up a totally un-related issue here. :)

I had the same thing in my mind that these “khudayaan” will be an issue…..and here comes your comment.

“behind the scene” Actually when i was taking this picture there were dozens of cars behind me and they were making some noises :D …. othewise, i could have skipped this civic negligence image. Sorry for that :D
