I presume that in 2002, Junoon wrote that song to target the new emerging rock/semi-rock groups of that time.

Fitted well. But irony lies in the sentence: Saadi Na tu Naklaa’n utaar. :)

Old News. Herald covered all the copies in their January 2005 issue Annual issue on Pakistan’s pop scene. They told everybody who the plagiarists were, and Junoon was one of them.

Waisay.. it has very much to do with Lahore. Ali Azmat is a Lahori Product. First originated from UET with bunch of Guys – Remember the band JUPITER?

Salman Ahmed – urf Daakter Sb – came into music during his studies in King Edward Medical College, Lahore.

Nusrat Hussain (ex Junoon or should I say “Founder of Junoon”) – Remember “A PILOT’s Dream” mentioned on Junoon’s First Album, Khwaab’s Cover – He also started his career from Lahore with Bunch of Vital Signs Kidos that ShoMan (Shoaib Mansoor) discovered from UET, Lahore.

How on earth this post is not related to Lahore Hain JI???? *rolling up sleeves* LOL

btw any idea where Nusrat Husain (The Pilot & one of the 3 founders of junoon) went, and does he still make any music or something?

I found Junoon’s initial albums much better than the later ones… The first album had some really good instrumental tracks… later junoon turned too commercial & cheezy…

You are very true Faraz. And this is the reason why Nusrat left the band cuz they wanted to change themselves from alternate to rock and then confusing rock with dholki which they called Sufi Music. Though I still enjoyed he twists they came out with but I do love first album than all the rest.

Nusrat Hussein, made a solo album after leaving Junoon. The album was called ‘Amrit’. The songs are available on net but are rare. I have their mp3s but I forgot to bring all my collection to Canada. His songs are amazing, Chalay Aana, Amrit, Jo Chaho Tum, Rehna Paas Meray are some amazing tracks which still revolve in my head and I hum (gungunana-fy) them :).

Ok found the link: Hear some here – http://www.muziq.net/songs/Nusrat-Hussain/Amrit/

He’s currently working with PIA, flies Boeing 737 and has a beard with white bristols in them :) – Saw his face in a picture with Salman and someone took back in 2003 and Nusrat was wearing his uniform :) I think it was inside cockit.
