Sounds of the Rain

raingreen.JPG

Weather was at its finest best today when it rained like everything. Cool breeze is still on defying the post rain phenomenon of suffocating humidity. I’m just lovin’ it!

So, coming to the title; what sound do you like the most when it rains in Lahore?

1. Rim Jhim
2. Garaj Chamak
3. Chum Chum
4. Tip Tip

Add any memories that may have be attached with the sound of your choice :)

What a lovely post. I love the rain in all its forms. I love walking in the light rain. And love to drive in thunderstorms as well as sit out eating chai pakora.

As for the sounds, it would have to be chum chum and garaj chamak for me :)

Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain
Telling me just what a fool I’ve been
I wish that if you go and let me cry in vain
And let me be alone again

The only girl I care about has gone away, looking for a brand-new start
But little does she know that when she left that day, along with her she took my heart!

Rain please tell me now does that seem fair?
For her to steal my heart away when she don’t care?
I can’t love another when my heart’s somewhere far away!

Rain won’t you tell her that I love her so
Please as the sun has set her heart a glow
Rain in her heart and let the love we knew start to grow

Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain
Telling me just what a fool I’ve been
I wish that if you go and let me cry in vain
And let me be alone again

    Dhun woh pehli mohabbat wali,
    Kaun kabhi bhool paata hai,

    Rim Jhim karti yadein sari,
    yaad kiye jiya jaata hai.
