Ramadan Diary – 2nd Roza

LMB’s Ramadan Diary is a short fun page to make your Roza more enjoyable ;)

Recipe of the Day: Chicken Teriyaki Kebab

Chicken mince – ½ Kg
Eggs – 1
Crushed Onion – 4 table spoons
Soy Sauce – 1 ½ tea spoons
Sugar – 1 ½ tea spoons

1. Add minced chicken, egg, onion, soy sauce, sugar, a little bit of salt & red pepper to a bowl and then mix it. Make 12 flat round shaped kebabs.

2. Fry the kebabs double-side in about 1 table spoon of cooking oil until they turn brown.

3. To prepare Teriyaki sauce, add 2 table spoons each of orange juice, sugar, soy sauce, and vinegar to a pan. Now, mix and cook it until the sauce thickens.

4. Dip in and take out each of the kebabs in this sauce.

5. Serve on a hot plate with a little green-onion garnish.

Today’s To-Do:

Try to be back home early; there’s nothing more joyous than a family aftaari :)

Thought of the Day:

Drive safe. People on the road usually turn impatient as Iftaar time nears. Follow traffic rules, road instructions with more attention at this time of the day.

Folks, i tried Teriyaki Kebabs today and they were OK (though they disappeared in seconds) with the original recipe. U can give them perfect taste by adding salt and pepper according to your taste both in chicken and sauce.
