Guarding the guests

Lahore fortunately, in most recent times, has proven to be safest of the three cosmopoliton cities of Pakistan. Karachi saw dark days in May and October while Islamabad carried heavy burden of the Lal Masjid seige.

To keep it safe and good that way, police security around the city has been tightened and presence of law enforcement personnel can be seen at all important buildings, public places, parks, hotels, intersections, and in case of the featured picture, at the Gaddafi Stadium where Pakistan & South Africa played their second one-day International match amid high security today.

Despite of the ugly incident in Karachi on October 18, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has decided to continue their team’s tour of Pakistan with an upcoming match at Karachi’s National Stadium.
