Reds, Roses and Chocolates

LAHORE looked outrageously gorgeous on 14th Feb.

Too much traffic, too much Red everywhere on display….Levi’s or Banarsi …..uffff :D
The prices as i mentioned earlier hiked, of the ROSES (though there were many special discount offers from different shops). The single rose (in picture) was of 20 Rs. near Kalma Chawk…. Per dozen, just don’ ask :|

Anyways, what i observed was that, that it was more of a family event, Shoppy was over crowded, MM Alam was as usual hard to get across with the load of traffic ….and Lahore was attacked by never-before-seen hunks :p , almost every other car was filled with heart-shaped balloons……

I personally think that generalization of love and peace has become a necessity and it really does not need a specific day to cherish that…. viva la happiness.

And for LMB readers, a poem “Love and Friendship” by Emily Bronte ….

Love is like the wild rose-briar,
Friendship like the holly-tree
The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms
But which will bloom most constantly?

The wild-rose briar is sweet in the spring,
Its summer blossoms scent the air;
Yet wait till winter comes again
And who will call the wild-briar fair?

Then scorn the silly rose-wreath now
And deck thee with the holly’s sheen,
That when December blights thy brow
He may still leave thy garland green.
