Huh?
It’s Ramdhaan.
Mubaarik ho.
And yeah, God bless us all and our country.
Wonder what actual action feels like, no? We as a nation, naah, we as individuals would be totally clueless in the face of action, no?
There was action, yes there was. Long marches, protests and what not. But that is the drama. The center stage. All dramas have a villain and a hero. All villains and all heroes take action. What these dramas don’t show are the people who just sit and watch. Why? Because they make for a very boring subject.
Are you boring? Do you plan to be boring? Stay boring perhaps?
How about some action this time around? Some solid, well-directed effort to change yourself and the ones around you to a better state than now?
But wait, we need someone to tell us what to do, what solid, well-directed effort to undertake. We need a leader, that’s right, a leader.
Ladies & gentlemen, in the red corner, weighing in at fifty million pounds (or was it euros?), the smiling crusader, man of his word, king of the castle, chairman of the party, the one and only, ZarrrDaaaaarreeeeeeeeee.
Go ahead. We deserve nothing else.
P.S. I also hear it’s highly cool to pray in this month. Praying qualifies as action, but only in this month, if you catch my drift.
Happy Ramadan Mubarak!
Mr.Zardari or Mr.10%, one of most corrupt landlord in the earlier 90’s
married to Benazir who have been educated abroad though Mr.Imran Khan
was against her and now also againts Mr.Zardari.
In 90’s (1990), Mr.Zardari was given name of Mr.10% when he took
commission on everything he can get during Ms.Benazir was in power as
president of pakistan. Her government was unsuccessful due to her husband
which is Mr.Zardari. Mr.Zardari have spent many years in jail due to
corruption cases but successfully, Ms.Benazir took him abroad on bail.
Mr.Zardari was out of picture till the death of Ms.Benazir where the PPP
(people party) Ms.Benazir will found out that she want her husband to run
the show. Her son Mr.Bilal seems to have people’s favour as he is young
and may be less corrupt and as he is studying abroad (and we all
pakistani people are impressed easily with abraod personalities) and
import our Finance Ministry from abroad such as Mr.Shaukat Aziz (who
is enjoying his part of share abroad after running a great show with
Mr.Musharaf by giving poor people more tensions).
Well, Back talking about Mr.Zardari which is current running for our
country PAKISTAN, presidential elections, he have been quiet successful
in putting a great strategy by joining first with Mr.Nawaz Shareef in
winning the elections and after removing Mr.Musharaf successfully.
However, the great part was presented by our LAWYERS and MEDIA
which focused the people mind on Law & juidciary.
On one hand, the pakistan government is winning the hearts of many people
in west in the name of terrorism and killing young men which might not be
terrorist in NWFP. However, Mr.Zardari have not spoken anything about the
terrorism as he have been busy plan checkmates to Mr.Nawaz Sharif and
the Lawyers.
Mr.Nawaz successfully able to win the hearts and mind of pakistan people
by showing that Mr.Zardari back off his promise about restoring judges.
where Mr.Galani our new president is trying his best to be a successful
president, he approves the bill to increase electricity 31% but he might
unfortunately dont know, that people are suffering from 16-20hrs without
light daily and he is asking the people of pakistan to pay for something
which is not available.
While other well know personalities, are trying best to catch media eyes
by asking for return of Dr.Afia (a lady who is suffering due to over
government support to kill terrorism by giving young men and women to US)
and others are trying to ask stop killing people in NWFP.
We as a nation of pakistan are suffering from all corners.
why should we suffer, because we are born in pakistan
or we support corrupt people and unlawness to just save ourself.
a great video song done by Shezad Roy – Laga Reh
present a nice over all view. All am afraid is will Pakistan able to survive the ups and downs of this roller coaster. Inshallah , Pakistan
will!
Back coming and talking about Mr.Zardari
Mr.Zardari will be coming president soon, as he hold all qualities
1) He is in Pakistan
2) He is in power as his government won last election
3) Whats is his mission, his passion or his inspiration, we dont care
4) He successfully made fortune by corruption so no corrupt person can
stand against the BIG P
5) He seems to be like Musharaf, no matter what promises or nation says
6) He is successful business mind person to make money and fly out
7) Gangster or landlords or terrorist favours him and he supports them
8) He will make the people of pakistan more suffer and his government
started without LIGHT in our homes and bloodshed.
9) He loves media (GEO u will survive, GEO pls show more blood on TV)
10)Beside becoming President, he have more plan for nation
(dear readers, above points and comments are all lies, pls dont believe)
Its very appropriate that we will soon have a certified chronic dementia patient as the President of this country and an equally corrupt + stupid personality (Mr. Sharif) as the new leader of the opposition.
Lets see what happens when corrupt madness collides with corrupt stupidity
Hats off to the mad lawyers, the payrolled journalists, the dumb civil society and the honrable judges whose untiring efforts have made all this possible.
@kaami
you were the messiah this idiot nation was waiting for. Welcome bro!
No Messiah required, all that was needed was common sense. Just five more years of hard work, keeping the growth rate above 6.5% percent and marginalizing the fanatics. Also, taking stock after explosive growth of from 2004-07 which resulted in increased demand not being met by supply plus increased prosperity resulting in inflationary trends. All these problems were good problems needed to be tackled like other nations have tackled them. It was not long ago that India and China had similar issues, they still have them but they are not mad enough to turn the applecart.
@kaami, Oh yes, the good old common sense. The same common sense that has brought this country on the brink of civil war/daily suicide bombings and our policy of ‘marginalizing the fanatics’ by conducting genocide through our own army has certainly worked wonders!!!
But wait, what about 6.5% growth? It is hardly any surprise that the genius behind this growth (hint: mr. world bank) has not graced this country with his presence since he left power for obvious reasons. There was this survey in Dawn back in 07 (before elections), which highlighted the fact that all this talk of economic growth during Musharraf’s regime was rubbish as it had brought no relieve to the common person in Pakistan. I can certainly find that survey for you if you wish.
Mr. Paracha you talk of surveys, I have posted all the stats here
lahore.metblogs.com/2008/08/18/a-fair-goodbye-from-mushy/
Who say marginalizing the fanatics can be done only by millitary means. The fanatics thrive on public sympathy for their cause and there is quite a lot of that in the Pakistani society. Our major political parties still don’t have the guts to call terrorists – terrorists and our media still treats the Arab crack pots like royalty + scholars / political leaders dish out justifications for suicide bombings. All the nations that have been victim of suicidal terror have stood behind their governments and said "No". Even in a place like Iraq, people are cleaning up this mess. however, as long as people like you continue to blame suicide attacks on someone and come out with a handy justification – the problem will grow. Let me remind you its not our troops but the fanatics who went on a planned offensive in the election year of 2007, so far they have met with substantial success in achieving their objectives. Also, they are not alone; they have powerful political fronts in Pakistan. Jihaadist like Hameed Gul and Jamaat-e-Islami and to some extent PTI, recent infiltration in PML is also very alarming. Although its also a known fact that Osama has provided substantial funds to Mr. Sharif in the past.
No country is without problems, be that economic or political, same is the case with Pakistan. Pakistan’s economic problems dramatically changed from what they were in 1999. At that time it was a destitute country begging for money to meet quarterly IMF deadlines, on the other hand, banks were giving yellow cabs for free to the political workers and every major financial institution was on the verge of collapse. There were grand govt sponsored scams like "Qarz uttaro Mulk Sanwaro" , "Saver Raffle", "Vision 2010" and "All projects to Daewoo" – all this conveniently forgotten . Now there are problems too (I quote):
“Now Pakistan faces higher quality problems—the problems of success. Demand has risen faster than supply. This has shown up in high inflation and a zooming trade deficit. The “tight fiscal, easy money” formula to get growth going needs to be “tight fiscal, tight money and credit” to sustain rapid growth. Idle domestic production capacity allowed the rising demand to be accommodated by rising capacity utilization in cement, steel, fertilizer, textiles, automobiles and motorcycles. Now that capacity is more than fully utilized, resulting in backlogs and imports”
But this quote applies to 2007. In 2oo7 the world economy was turned on its head by the spiralling oil prices, which no one predicted or made allowances for. However, sensible nations even in Africa have dealt with the situation and did not turn the apple cart. The same is not true for Pakistan, we will soon be back with IMF from which we escaped in 2004. That was done with our own privatization money and every cent is accounted for. My friend relief to the common man only comes through economic activity, which is now dissipating at an alarming rate.
To top it off the real problems are: living in denial, blame everything on US mentality and sympathy for fanatics. So its very appropriate that we have a certified chronic dementia patient as the President of this country and an equally corrupt + stupid personality as the new leader of the opposition
Kammi, so what’s you solution? Bring back the dictator? I say if Nawaz is corrupt then let INDEPENDENT judiciaries decide that and if he is truly the thug that you think he is then hang him! And osama giving funds to nawaz is pure baloney. Please provide a CREDIBLE source!
Unfortunately the unlighted moderate Pakistanis like you feel somehow that a power monger dictator is a better option then ELECTED officials. If we believe in democracy we have to accept the mandate of both PPP and PML-N along with all elected parties. At the end of day we all love our country and want the best for her, but I am sorry that I strongly disagree with the path you have chosen.
“Power monger dictator” tough but stale words and they don’t apply to Mush. The eight years when Mush was in power, he did more for democracy, de-valuation of power than anybody else in the history of this God forsaken country. Whatever freedoms we have today are due to his vision for this country. We had four election in eight years, we saw military gradually sent back to barracks from organization like WAPDA and KESC. They were even counting schools in Sharif’s days or have you forgotten? Its true, He did not want to hand over to known thief’s and tried his level best to keep them out, but if people want them the can have them. Its very easy to be an idealist and use such terms as Aamriat and Jamhore, what nonsense!!. I was a passionate leftist once, and saw how the first Bhutto harmed the progress of this Nation by nationalizing our economy and education. All that just by using slogans, and when the real merciless dictator came to power all the revolutionaries fled to Europe and North America and contributed by singing Hum Dekheingey with Iqbal Bano.
Democracy is not a fruit that can be taken form a tree. To flourish it requires a strong middle class and a thriving merchant community. And we don’t have to invent anything, just look at Malaysia, Turkey, China, Singapore and UAE. All these countries are progressing and they are not even true democracies. The key is to setup shop in such a way that the middle class eventually takes over. That was happening in Pakistan, we for the first time had our brain power returning to homeland and contributing with ideas and investments forming new companies and businesses. But that’s all gone now, people waited, 2 months after the last elections, the boat was steady but when the new finance minister Ishaq Dar opened his mouth, all said enough!. Investors are like a flok of birds, they carefully scan the ground and land one at a time, One Shot they fly away in mass. If you look at my comments on this blog just before and after the Feb elections, I pleaded with the crazy zealots and predicted that this will happen if they did not listen, now its too late.
If the country has to progress then the middle class needs to stay focussed, work hard at what they are doing value merit and take the country forward. If on the other hand they get tangled in idealistic nonsense, and watch too much political talk shows, chances are they will be politicised and exploited by both extremes on right as well as left.
As for the baloney, just ask Mr. Sharif to explain where the money came from to dislodge the first BB government. I think the figure was roughly 10 million dollars. That’s one of the main reasons why his file will not be cleared for Prime Ministership of Pakistan.

Idependent Judiciary – Keep on dreaming bro, that’s the most corrupt segment of our society which directly feeds on peoples misery and will take longest to fix. If you expect leadership and a quick fix from them then God be with you. It takes hard working people with ideas to take the nation forward not people who have nothing to do but criticise and point fingers.

certified chronic dementia patient who relies on cocaine, hashish and alcohol…he will be the first president to be high while serving im sure now that he is friends with the USA he will get free cocaine via KABUL/ISI/CIA…IT HAPPENS ONLY IN PAKISTAN….
PAkistan ka allah he hafiz
@mcgrawaddict
Certified chronic dementia patient – True by hs own admission (not being discussed by any talk show hosts – strange) However, will not be the first Pakistani President to be high while serving. There are quite a few names but the most notorious one was Ghulam Mohammad. He was a sex maniac, had a bedroom beside his office, had an American Secretary and loved Kushta’s (to sustain his manhood) presented to him by hakim’s from all over the country. Eventually, over consumption of exotic herbs was the cause of his death.
